Capitaine Gèze multimodal station

transport

This new 900-metre section will connect the current Bougainville station to the RTM Zoccola depot at the roundabout under the Capitaine Gèze flyover. It will use the service lanes already in place before the project is launched.

Capitaine Gèze will not be just any underground station, since it will also welcome buses, electric vehicles with their charging terminals, a park and ride for cars, motorbikes and bicycles.

The extension of underground line 2 from Bougainville to Boulevard Capitaine Gèze accompanies the Euroméditerranée extension to the North of the town. The objective? Make up for the lack of public transport in some Northern areas of Marseilles. Other function: park and ride for people living in the North of the town and working in the town centre. In effect, the future hub has a park and ride, accessible from the A7 and A55 motorways, and was designed to incite users to leave their car and use public transport to visit the Marseilles main town centre.
