Cœur méditerranée
Jean-Paul Viguier’s architecture expresses the quest for a harmonious continuum along Boulevard de Dunkerque and the prestigious Joliette docks.
Like the change in the Joliette district, which has become an animated space, Cœur Méditerranée, designed in a U shape, has outward-facing architecture in its lower levels, the whole ground floor and internal structure being fully visible, a natural extension to the place de la Méditerranée.
The building is home to two hotels, the 2-star Ibis with 192 rooms and the 3-start Novotel with 127 suites.
Shops and restaurants line the boulevard and the spaces in the transparent section of the ground floor.
Respectful of its environment, Cœur Méditerranée has solar panels on its roof producing 40% of the hot water supply.
