Workshop 2: Smart Renovation

During the second HAPPEN workshop – ‘smart renovation’ – a variety of topics was addressed: urban renewal, financial and technical renovation solutions and digital platforms. This event was an opportunity to introduce participants to the scenarios on which the consortium members will be basing their optimal solution packages, including both technical and financial aspects, and to present the completed and ongoing housing and urban renewal operations in the Euroméditerranée area.

Discussions with participants, particularly regarding the digital platform, were very enlightening and showed that energy renovation is the focus of current considerations and the many initiatives.

Atelier de rénovation énergétique HAPPEN

Workshop 1: Smart Cities

The first HAPPEN workshop was an opportunity to present the Euroméditerranean ‘easy tech for low cost’ smart city, and introduce participants to HAPPEN, a project launched in April whose purpose is to revitalise the building energy renovation market.

The background, expected positive deliverables and implementation of optimal renovation solutions in the Bougainville les Crottes district were the focus of discussions, and feedback from participants was very positive. ‘It's a good thing that an interest is being taken in renovating existing buildings and not just in new constructions!’/p>
