Joliette tunnel

The first step was the demolition of the A55 flyover which blocked the view of the sea. A 1,000 m-long tunnel, commissioned on 23 March 2011, replaced the old flyover, and removed motorway traffic at ground level. The Joliette is one-way in the north/south direction.

Therefore, the boulevard du littoral could be developed into a large quality public space, offering large tree-lined pavements for pedestrians and cycle paths.
