Saint Martin d’Arenc church
Erected in 1913 (on timber pile fastened to the ground by rods) by Théodore Dupoux, architect of the Sacré Coeur on le Prado, the church, dilapidated and cracked from floor to ceiling is in danger of collapsing. The local authorities (town, region and department) are working together to buy it as it is.
The objective would be to build a place for multicultural exchange and dialogue based on the Bernardins convent in Paris. The areas around the church could be reforested to create a significant parkland area in this district.
Therefore the esplanade des archives, the jardins de lecture and the garden of Saint Martin d'Arenc church will offer a green space and parkland of more than one hectare.
